PROHIBITION OF ALCOHOL

PROHIBITION OF ALCOHOL

Question:
Why is the consumption of alcohol prohibited in Islam?
Answer:
Alcohol has been the scourge of human society since time immemorial. It continues to cost countless human lives, and causes terrible misery to millions throughout the world.
Alcohol is the root cause of several problems facing society. The statistics of soaring
crime rates, increasing instances of mental illnesses and millions of broken homes
 throughout the world
bear mute testimony to the destructive power of alcohol.

1. Prohibition of alcohol in the Qur’an
The Glorious Qur’an prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verse:
"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and Gambling, (Dedication of) stones, And
 (divination by) arrows, Are an Abomination Of Satan’s handiwork;
Eschew such (abomination), That ye may prosper."
[Al-Qur’an 5:90]

2. Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible
The Bible prohibits the consumption of alcohol in the following verses
a. "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is
deceived thereby is not wise."
         [Proverbs 20:1]

b. "And be not drunk with wine."
       [Ephesians 5:18]

3. Alcohol inhibits the inhibitory centre
The human beings possess an inhibitory centre in their brains. This inhibitory centre
prevents the person from doing things that he considers wrong. For instance a person
does not normally use abusive language while addressing his parents or elders.
If he has to answer the call of nature, his inhibitory centre will prevent him
from doing so in public. Therefore he uses the toilet.
When a person consumes alcohol, the inhibitory centre itself is inhibited. That is
precisely the reason that an inebriated person is often found to be indulging in
behaviour that is completely uncharacteristic of him. For instance the intoxicated
person is found to use abusive and foul language and does not realize his mistake
even if he is addressing his parents. Many even urinate in their clothes. Neither
do they talk nor walk properly. They even misbehave.

4. Cases of adultery, rape, incest and AIDS are found more
among alcoholics

According to National Crime Victimization Survey Bureau of Justice
(U.S. Department of Justice) in the year 1996 alone everyday on an average 2,713
rapes took place.
The statistics tell us that the majority of the rapists, were intoxicated while
committing the crime. The same is true in cases of molestation.
According to statistics, 8% of Americans commit incest i.e. one in every twelve
to thirteen persons in America is involved in incest. Almost all the cases of incest
are due to intoxication of one or both the persons involved.
One of the major factors associated with the spread of AIDS, the most dreaded
disease, is alcoholism.

5. Every alcoholic was initially a social drinker
Many may argue in favour of liquor by calling themselves ‘social drinkers’.
They claim that they only have one or two pegs and they have self-control
and so never get intoxicated. Investigations reveal that every alcoholic started
as a social drinker. Not a single alcoholic or drunkard initially starts drinking
with the intention of becoming an alcoholic or a drunkard. No social drinker
can say that I have been having alcohol for several years and that I have so
 much self-control
that I have never been intoxicated even a single time.

6. If a person is intoxicated just once and commits something
shameful, it will remain with him for a lifetime.
Suppose a ‘social drinker’ loses his self-control just once. In a state of intoxication
he commits rape or incest. Even if the act is later regretted, a normal human being
is likely to carry the guilt throughout his life. Both the perpetrator and the victim
 are irreparably and irreversibly damaged.

7. Alcohol is prohibited in the Hadith
The Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
a. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3371.
"Alcohol is the mother of all evils and it is the most shameful of evils."

b. In Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3392
"Anything which intoxicates in a large quantity, is prohibited even in a small quantity.
" Thus there is no excuse for a nip or a tot.
c. Not only those who drink alcohol are cursed but also those who deal with them directly or indirectly are cursed by Allah.

According to Sunan Ibn-I-Majah Volume 3, Book of Intoxicants, Chapter 30 Hadith No. 3380.
It was reported by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him),
that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
"God’s curse falls on ten groups of people who deal with alcohol.
The one who distills it, the one for whom it has been distilled,
the one who drinks it, the one who transports it,
the one to who it has been brought, the one whom serves it,
the one who sells it, the one who utilizes money from it,
the one who buys it and the one who buys it for someone else."

8. Diseases associated with alcoholism
There are several scientific reasons for the prohibition of consumption
of intoxicants i.e. alcohol. The maximum number of deaths in the world
related to any one particular cause is due to the consumption of alcohol.
Millions of people die every year only because of intake of alcohol.
I need not go into the details of all the ill-effects of alcohol since
most of them are commonly known. Below is a simple list of few
of the alcohol related illnesses:
1. Cirrhosis of Liver is the most well known alcohol associated disease.
2. Others are Cancer of Oesophagus, Cancer of Head and Neck,
Cancer of Liver (Hepatoma), Cancer of Bowel, etc.
3. Oesophagitis, Gastritis, Pancreatitis and Hepatitis are linked with
 alcohol consumption.
4. Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis,
Angina and Heart Attacks are linked with heavy alcohol intakes.
5. Strokes, Apoplexy, Fits and different types of Paralysis are
 linked with alcohol intake.
6. Peripheral Neuropathy, Cortical Atrophy, Cerebellar Atrophy
are well-known syndromes caused by alcohol consumption.
7. Wernicke – Korsakoff syndrome with amnesia of recent events,
confabulations and retainment of memory to old events with different
types of paralysis are mainly due to thiamine deficiency due to
excessive alcohol intake.
8. Beriberi and other deficiencies are not uncommon among alcoholics.
Even Pellagra occurs in alcoholics.
9. Delerium Tremens is a serious complication that may occur during
recurrent infection of alcoholics or post operatively. It also occurs
during abstention as a sign of withdrawal effect. It is quite serious and
may cause death even if treated in well equipped centres.
10. Numerous Endocrine Disorders have been associated with
lcoholism ranging from Myxodema to Hyperthyroidism and Florid
Cushing Syndrome.
11. Hematological ill effects are long and variable. Folic acid deficiency,
however, is the most common manifestation of alcoholic abuse resulting in
Macrocytic Anemia. Zeive’s syndrome is a triad of Hemolytic Anemia, Jaundice
and Hyperlipaedemia that follows alcoholic binges.
12. Thrombocytopenia and other platelet abnormalities are not rare in alcoholics.
13. The commonly used tablet metronidazole (flagyl) interacts badly with alcohol.
14. Recurrent infection is very common among chronic alcoholics. The resistance to disease and the immunological defense system are compromised by alcohol intake.
15. Chest infections are notorious in alcoholics. Pneumonia, Lung Abcess,
Emphysema and Pulmonary Tuberculosis are all common in alcoholics.
16. During acute alcoholic intoxication, the drunk person usually vomits, the
cough reflexes which are protective are paralysed. The vomitus thus easily
pass to the lung causing Pneumonia or Lung Abscess. Occasionally it may
even cause suffocation and death.
17. The ill effects of alcohol consumption on women deserves special mention. Females are more vulnerable to alcohol-related Cirrhosis than men. During
pregnancy alcohol consumption has a severe detrimental effect on the foetus.
Foetal Alcohol Syndrome is being recognised more and more in the medical profession.
18. Skin diseases are also related to alcohol indulgence.
19. Eczema, Alopecia, Nail Dystrophy, Paronychia (infection around the nails)
and Angular Stomatitis (inflammation of the angle of the mouth) are
 common diseases among alcoholics.

9. Alcoholism is a ‘disease’
Medical doctors have now turned liberal towards alcoholics and call
alcoholism a disease rather than an addiction.
The Islamic Research Foundation has published a pamphlet that says:
If alcohol is a disease, it is the only disease that:
- Is sold in bottles
- Is advertised in newspapers, magazines, on radio and television
- Has licensed outlets to spread it
- Produces revenue for the government
- Brings violent deaths on the highways
- Destroys family life and increases crime
- Has no germs or viral cause

ALCOHOLISM IS NOT A DISEASE
– IT IS SATAN’S HANDIWORK
Allah (swt) in His Infinite Wisdom has warned us against this snare of Satan.
Islam is called the "Deen-ul-Fitrah" or the natural religion of Man. All its
injunctions are aimed at preserving the natural state of man. Alcohol is a
deviation from this natural state, for the individual as well as for society.
It degrades man to a level below that of the beasts he claims to be superior to.
Hence the consumption of alcohol is prohibited in Islam.

ONAM- A cultural Misgudiance

In the Name of Allah
The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful

All Praises to Allah, The Lord of the entire creations and May Allah’s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and those who follow their path.

We Muslims, these days are exposed to many innovations and cultural misguidances that we take up in our lives and pass to our future generations. We lack in following the Quran and Sunnah as per the way of the Salaf (Pious Predecessors) and in the opposite we strive hard to follow the ways of the disbelievers.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you hand span by hand span, cubit by cubit, to the extent that if they entered the hole of a lizard, you will enter it too.” We said: “O Messenger of Allaah, (do you mean) the Jews and the Christians?” He said: “Who else?”

[Bukhaari, 1397; Muslim, 4822]

One of the celebrations that the Muslims of Malabar (Kerala – India) are indulged in is
ONAM.

What is Onam?
As per the website of State Govt. of Kerala , Onam is explained as below:

“ A legend of Onam is about the sweet memories of distant past when Mahabali, a celebrated emperor of the Asuras (Demons), was supposed to rule over Kerala. His period is believed as the golden age in the history of the country. A popular folk song narrates the glories of that period. When Mahabali (Mavely) ruled, all men were equal, they were leading a life of happiness and nobody had any calamity-thus goes the song. There was neither dishonesty nor deception, nor was there any instance of false utterance, use of counterfeit measures or other kinds of unfair practice. Perfect harmony, communal and otherwise, prevailed. In short it was ideal welfare state, the legend tells us. But the Devas (gods) got annoyed with the rule of Mahabali as their popularity were deteriorating alarmingly. They complained to Lord Vishnu and he reincarnated as Vamana, the dwarf. He approached Mahabali and begged for three feet of land. Mahabali immediately granted Vamana’s wish. Suddenly, the dwarf sized Vamana grew into the skies and with one step covered the earth and with another step the heavens. With no place to keep the third step, Mahabali offered his head, which was pushed by Vamana into the netherworld or pathalam(underground beneath the earth). But before sending Mahabali to the netherworld,Lord Vishnu gave Mahabali the boon that he can visit his subjects once in a year. The day Mahabali visits his subjects is celebrated as Onam. The time for his annual visit was in the first Malayalam month Chingom (August-September) and this occasion became one of Jubilation throughout the land, reminiscent of the prosperous times of Mahabali.”

A Muslim who have learnt the basics of correct Islamic Creed (Aqeedah) and about Tawheed will understand what are the aspects of shirk and false beliefs which  are mentioned in the above quotation regarding Onam. Do you muslims believe in the many number of gods?, Do you muslims believe in incarnation, Do you believe that Mahabali still lives and visits every year?

The strange aspect of the whole festival is that it is taught in our education system that it is the national festival of Kerala and it is celebrated among keralites (Malayalees) irrespective of religion or caste where as in reality the whole festival is based on Hindu myths and religion. Moreover, the hindus have their own rituals on this day.

When it was asked to Shk Assim Al Hakeem (May Allah preserve him)
[who is a well-known Daee and a great student of knowledge studied in Umm Al Qura University, Makkah]
about celebration of such festival and eating the Onam feast named ‘Sadhya’; after reading about Onam, he said
“This is all part of the non Muslims feasts that are probably Hindu based. Therefore, it is forbidden to eat or to participate in such feasts.”

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever imitates a people is one of them.’”
(Abu Dawood, al-Libaas, 3512. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Abi Dawood, (it is) hasan saheeh. No. 3401).

Below are some of the opinions of Scholars who have clearly stated that it is impermissible to celebrate such festivals.

Ibn al-Qayyim said:
It is not permissible for the Muslims to attend the festivals of the mushrikeen, according to the consensus of the scholars whose words carry weight. The fuqaha’ who follow the four schools of thought have stated this clearly in their books… Al-Bayhaqi narrated with a saheeh isnaad from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab that he said: “Do not enter upon the mushrikeen in their churches on the day of their festival, for divine wrath is descending upon them.” And ‘Umar also said: “Avoid the enemies of Allaah on their festivals.” Al-Bayhaqi narrated with a jayyid isnaad from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr that he said: “Whoever settles in the land of the non-Arabs and celebrates their new year and festival and imitates them until he dies in that state, will be gathered with them on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah, 1/723-724)

Ibn al-Qayyim in his book Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah, where he says:
"Congratulating the kuffaar on the rituals that belong only to them is haraam by consensus, as is congratulating them on their festivals and fasts by saying ‘A happy festival to you’ or ‘May you enjoy your festival,’ and so onIf the one who says this has been saved from kufr, it is still forbidden.
It is like congratulating someone for prostrating to the cross, or even worse than that. It is as great a sin as congratulating someone for drinking wine, or murdering someone, or having illicit sexual relations, and so on. Many of those who have no respect for their religion fall into this error; they do not realize the offensiveness of their actions. Whoever congratulates a person for his disobedience or bid’ah or kufr exposes himself to the wrath and anger of Allaah."
Extracted from Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 3/44.

The Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas was asked about Argentinean national celebrations and celebrations that are held in their churches such as Independence Day, and Christian Arab celebrations such as Easter.

They replied: It is not permissible for Muslims to hold such celebrations or attend them or participate in them with the Christians, because that is helping in sin and transgression, and Allaah has forbidden that.
And Allaah is the Source of strength.

End quote from Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (2/76).

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) spoke at length in his book Iqtidaa’ al-Siraat al-Mustaqeem li Mukhaalifat Ashaab al-Jaheem (The Requirements of the Straight Path in Differing from the People of Hell), condemning the innovated occasions and festivals that have no basis in the pure Sharee’ah and the ways in which they corrupt people’s religious commitment.

Shk Ibn Jibreen Rahimahullah said "It is not permissible to celebrate innovated festivals such as the Christmas of the Christians, or Nowrooz (Persian New Year) or Mahrajaan (Persian festival), or festivals that have been innovated by Muslims such as the Prophet’s birthday in Rabee’ al-Awwal or the Israa’ in Rajab and so on. It is not permissible to eat from that food which the Christians or Mushrikeen prepare on the occasion of their festivals. It is also not permissible to accept their invitations to join them in their celebrations of those festivals, because this encourages them and is tantamount to approving of their bid’ah, which gives the wrong idea to ignorant people and makes them think that there is nothing wrong with that. And Allaah knows best. "
 From Al-Lu’lu’ al-Makeen min Fataawaa Ibn Jibreen, p. 27.

Conclusion: It is not permissible for a Muslim to celebrate Onam or congratulate others on this occasion. It is forbidden to eat Onam Sadhya (feast) or participate in the Onam feast. Instead of congratulating, A muslim must convey the truth to ignorant muslims and non-muslims about Islam, Oneness of Allah, correct Islamic Aqeedah, Tawheed , Day of Judgement, Paradise, Hell  and guide them to the true religion.

“Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment”
[Qur`an 5:2]

I ask Allah to guide us Muslims to the way of Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jamah and make us follow true Islam upon Qur`an, sunnah and understanding of the Salaf (Pious Predecessors). I also ask Allah to accept this opportunity I have undertaken to make awareness of the ignorant ways among  Muslims of Kerala.

Please pass on the article on all the mediums you can in order to educate the Muslim from the evil practises.

The value of righteous woman

Do you undervalue yourself, your role as a mom or your role in society? Most women do, but should not. The role of the Muslim woman is more than just someone who wears a scarf: she is the role model, the first teacher for children, and she is the religious guide for our Ummah (nation).

There are reports that at one time in history a disbelieving army delayed their attack of the Muslims until they saw a larger number of women removing their head coverings. Whether or not this report is authentic, the message that it contains is indisputable and apparent. The non-Muslim army was wise enough to realise that the strength and power of a community and a nation is directly related to the level of righteousness of its members. So why is it that they looked to the Hijaab and actions of women rather than the dress, grooming and behaviour of men? The reason is that women play a critical role in the functioning of a nation. A role that is usually very obscure and often underestimated. That role has been threatened throughout history and continues to be in danger to this day.

Dear sister, do not underestimate the value of a righteous woman.

Do you realise the significant contributions you are making to your family, to your community, to the world? Have you ever thought that your submission and obedience to your Lord impacts the functioning of the whole society? Have you ever imagined what your life would be like if you were a woman without virtue and honor? Take a look at women such as this and you will have a clearer understanding.
What is it that an immoral woman does to society? She spreads corruption throughout the land without concern or scruples. She becomes addicted to drugs and uses her income to buy the next hit instead of providing food and clothing for her children. She sells her body for a cheap price to men who are easily tempted. She displays her beauty and nakedness freely in an ostentatious show, luring even more men. She has an affair with a married man who works in her office. She dabbles in magic in order to separate a husband and wife. She tells lies and backbites with the intention of harming others. She neglects her children and allows them to follow the path of Satan. Is it not true that these things happen? We would be ignorant to deny these realities. What does this sort of conduct do to a society? A woman without righteousness can do much to damage the fabric of humanity.
A righteous woman does much to enhance the harmonious operation of the society. She strives on a daily basis to increase her spiritual connection with Allaah through obedience to Him. She teaches her children the Quran, the Salaah (Prayer), the religion so that they may follow in the footsteps of submission. She makes her home an abode of peace, warmth and hospitality. She treats others with kindness and affection, especially her husband, her parents, her children, and her sisters in Islam. She gives everyone his or her due rights without complaint or argument. She helps to relieve the stress of her husband as he toils to provide for the family. She guards her beauty and her modesty as a means to respect herself, her husband, and her Lord. She is an honorable servant of Allah.

Dear sister, do not underestimate the value of a righteous woman.

You have done much more than you could ever imagine. Your contributions have been immense, yet at the same time undervalued. If it were not for you, humankind would be in an even sadder condition than it is today. You have helped to save it from utter ruin and destruction. You are the lifesaver and the life support. You are the pillar of society that keeps it from crumbling. You are the vicegerent on this earth that Allaah had intended. Your Hijaab has kept the invading forces at a distance. You will not allow them to occupy your mind, your heart, your soul or those of your children.
Note your significant role and then continue your struggle, remembering the purpose of your work and the One for whom it is intended. Remember that you are a Muslim woman and that there is no other role that can compare. Recall that the Muslim nation needs you; all of mankind needs you. It is a mission and a duty that will continue until the end of time. And no matter what they do to attempt to destroy it, they will never be successful... for you are a righteous Muslim woman.

Never, ever underestimate the value of a righteous woman.

Allah Almighty Says what means: “And whoever does righteous deeds whether male or female, while being a believer — those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged, (even as much as) the speck on a date seed.”
[Quran 4: 124]

The obligation of Zakaat Al-Fitr

Sadaqat Al-Fitr ( Zakaat Al-Fitr)

Is prescribed by the Sharee‘ah based on the general indication of the texts of the Quran and the Sunnah, as well as by scholarly consensus. Allah
The Almighty Says (what means): {He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself. And mentions the Name of his Lord and prays.}
[Quran 87:14-15]

The Commander of the Believers,
‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul-Azeez, may Allah have mercy upon him, would command the Muslims to give Sadaqat Al-Fitr and recite the above mentioned verse.
As for the Sunnah,
Ibn ‘Umar, may Allaah be pleased with him, said,
“The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, ordained Zakaat Al-Fitr to be given as one Saa‘ (handful) of dates or barley for every slave and free Muslim, male or female, young or old. He ordered it to be given out before the Muslims go to the ‘Eed Prayer.” [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
The scholars have unanimously agreed on the obligation of Zakaat Al-Fitr, which has two stipulations:
1- Its amount (one Saa’) should be over and above one’s own need and the need of his dependants for the day and night of ‘Eid.

Zakaat Al-Fitr is an individual obligation upon every Muslim who can afford it. It was ordained, along with fasting, in the second year after Hijrah (prophetic emigration). The recipients of Sadaqat Al-Fitr are the same recipients of general Zakaah, based on what Allah The Almighty Says (which means):
{Zakaah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy…}
[Quran 9:60]
The amount to be given of Sadaqat Al-Fitr is a single Saa‘ for each Muslim, but it can be less than one Saa‘ if the Muslim does not find any more than that. Sadaqat Al-Fitr is obligatory upon every Muslim individually, and the Muslim is not obligated to give it on behalf of others according to the preponderant opinion of scholars. However, one can give it on behalf of those under his care with their consent. An exception to this ruling is the slave, for whom Sadaqat Al-Fitr is, of course, an obligation, but in his case it is alright for his master to pay on his behalf.
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:
“There is no charity to be paid on the slave (i.e. for owning him) except Sadaqat Al-Fitr.”
[Muslim]

It is permissible to give Zakaat Al-Fitr early but only by a maximum of two days before ‘EId as this was authentically reported from
Ibn ‘Umar, may Allaah be pleased with him: In a Hadeeth, it was said, “Ibn ‘Umar gave Sadaqat Al-Fitr for those who would accept it, and they used to receive it one or two days before ‘Eid Al-Fitr.”
 [Al-Bukhaari]

However, it is preferable to give it before the ‘Eid Prayer due to the Hadeeth which was narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar, may Allaah be pleased with him, where it was mentioned that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, ordered Sadaqat Al-Fitr to be distributed before Muslims go out for the ‘Eid Prayer.
It is not permissible to delay it until after the ‘Eid Prayer, and if it is, it would not be valid.
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Whoever introduces something to our affairs (i.e. religion) which does not belong to it, it will be rejected.”
Therefore, the time for giving Zakaat Al-Fitr can be one of three:
1- Permissible: which is two days before ‘Eid Al-Fitr
2- Recommended: which is the morning of the day of ‘Eid before the Prayer
3- Prohibited: which is after the ‘Eid Prayer, when it would not be valid
It is permissible for the Muslim to authorise someone to give it on his behalf. Also, there is no sin on him who delays giving it for a valid reason and therefore gives it late. Sadaqat Al-Fitr can be given out of the common staple-food of the country, and according to the majority of scholars it is not permissible to give the monetary value of the Sadaqat Al-Fitr.
The Muslim may give one person many Saa‘s or one Saa‘ for many people.
Finally, it is preferable for the Muslim to give it personally so that he would be sure of delivering it to its due recipients on time.

"MISCONCEPTION OF "LAILATHUL QADR"

MISCONCEPTION OF  LAILATHUL QADR

There is wrong belief by some of the people who believe scholars word.
 They
never tries to understand a true message of Allah, they believe wrong
 scholar's words.

What Qur'an says of "Lailathul Qadr"

Verily, Allah have send it (This Qur'an) down in the Night of Al- Qadr
 (Decree).
And what will make you know what the Night of Al- Qadr is?
The Night of Al- Qadr is better that a 1000 months
(i.e worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Allah a
thousand months, i.e 83 years and 4 months)
 [Surah 97 Ayat 1,2,3]

Allah says in Holy Qur'an that Allah has send down Qur'an on the Night of
 Al- Qadr
some Scholars say Qur'an has send down Shabaan 15 or other days
 that is against Qur`an

Down we can check a Hadees say about
                "Lailathul Qadr"

 What Prophet (s) say,
Narrated Aisha(r) Prophet (s) said, "Search for the
Lailathul Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."
(i.e 21,23,25,27.29)

 [Bukhari]

Its clearly says odd nights of the last ten days of
Ramadan. Some wrong scholars say "Lailathul Qadr" on Ramadan 25 or
Ramadan 27 from where they get. It is against to Prophet (s) word,
they does not give importance to Prophet (s) word, they create their own
rule, and fool people believe them.

What Prophet (s) do last ten days of Ramadan

Narrated Abdullah Bin Umar:Prophet (s) used to practise i'tikaf in the last
ten days of the month of Ramadan
[Bukhari]

 Above Hadees clearly says,

Prophet (s) used to practise i'tikaf in the last ten days of the month of
 Ramadan

So Prophet (s) will in the Masjid last ten days of Ramadan he go out only
 for needed time.
Its wrong belief Lailathul Qadr is on Ramadan 25 or Ramadan 27 and
also what this wrong Scholars do, they invite people to open group on the
night on Ramadan 27 and they say dikr in the open ground with group of
people, the people who fellow blindly this scholar`s word, even this
 scholars go to hell.
There is no hadees saying people should gather together

in open ground on Ramadan 27
Allah has given brain to them to think, yet they think not about Sunna of
 Prophet.

 Interesting thing is that
Ramadan last ten day we have to busy inside

Masjid, this wrong scholars bring out to open ground on Ramadan 27 and Eid
Gaah should be done in open ground, this scholars bring people inside the
Masjid. They change Islamic rule so they can shine infront of people. they
are bringing new Islam, so that their pocket will be full, this is
innovaction, and all innovaction leds to Hell.

The REAL Sunnah regarding Shabaan :
If you truly and sincerely want to please Allaah and do deeds that will be
acceptable to Him, then follow the REAL Sunnah of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu
Alayhi wa Sallam). Above is what is proven in the authentic sunnah:

Seeking the Night of Al-Qadr

Seeking the Night of Al-Qadr
It is related on the authority of ‘Ubaadah ibn As-Saamit, may Allaah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam, came to educate the people regarding the Night of Al-Qadr (Decree), but two Muslims were arguing with each other. So, he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam, said: “I came out to inform you about the Night of Al-Qadr, but so-and-so were quarreling, so its knowledge was taken away. Yet, perhaps that is for your own good, so look for it on the ninth, seventh and fifth [of the last ten nights of Ramadhaan].”[Al-Bukhaari]

Moreover, Abu Sa‘eed Al-Khudri, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrates that, before it was shown to him, the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa salam, observed I‘tikaaf during the middle ten [days of Ramadhaan], seeking the Night of Al-Qadr. When the days elapsed, he ordered that his tent be dismantled. But then, it was revealed to him that it actually falls on one of the last ten [nights], so, he ordered his tent to be pitched once again. Subsequently, he came to everyone and said: “O People! The Night of Al-Qadr was shown to me and I came out to inform you of it; but there came two men, each of whom was demanding his right from the other, and the devil was in their company, so I forgot it. Hence, anticipate it in [one of] the last ten nights of Ramadhaan; seek it in the ninth, seventh and fifth [of its nights].”
[Muslim]

Enlivening the last ten nights of the blessed month with worshipIt was narrated on the authority of ‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, that she said, “When the last ten days of Ramadhaan would come, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, used to tighten his lower garment belt, spend the whole night in prayer and worship, and wake his family (at night for prayer and worship).”
 [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

It was also narrated on the authority of ‘Aa’ishah, may Allaah be pleased with her, that she said, “The Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, would strive his utmost (in prayer and worship) during the last ten [nights of Ramadhaan] much more than he did at any other time.”
 [Muslim]

It is narrated on the authority of ‘Ali, may Allaah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, would wake up his family (at night for prayers and worship) in the last ten days of Ramadhaan.
[At-Tirmithi: Hasan Saheeh]

According to another version narrated by Ahmad, “When the [last] ten [days of Ramadhaan] would come, the Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, would wake his family (at night for prayer and worship) and tighten his lower garment belt. It was said to Abu Bakr ibn ‘Ayyaash (the sub-narrator), ‘What does ‘to tighten the lower garment belt’ mean?’ He said, ‘To keep aloof from women.’” [Ahmad]

Benefits and rulingsFirst: The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, used to strive in worship. Even though Allaah The Almighty had forgiven for him his earlier and later sins, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, strove his utmost during the last ten days of Ramadhaan much more than he did at any other time.

Second: The Prophetic guidance during the last ten days of Ramadhaan is to spend the whole night in prayer and Thikr (remembrances and mentioning Allah), and keep aloof from women.

Third: It is recommended to awaken the family to perform night prayer during the last ten days of Ramadhaan. So, if the people’s habit is to remain sleepless at night in Ramadhaan, as is the case these days, let it be spent in prayer and Thikr, and not in amusement and play.

Fourth: It is permissible for the man to enjoin and obligate his family and children to perform supererogatory deeds, in which it is due upon them to obey him.

Fifth: It is recommended to spend the whole night, during the last ten days of Ramadhaan, in prayer and Thikr as much as possible, because this was what the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, did as indicated from the Hadeeths’ apparent meaning. The narrations concerning the prohibition to stand the whole night in prayer are understood to apply to doing it regularly throughout the year. However; the nights which have special excellence, like the last ten days of Ramadhaan, are exceptional.

Sixth: The wisdom behind striving one’s utmost in prayer and worship during the last ten nights of Ramadhaan is to seek the Night of Al-Qadr; and it is out of the Mercy of Allaah The Almighty upon His servants that He Included it in these last ten nights: had it been any of the nights in the whole year, people would have suffered great hardship seeking it, and most of the people would have missed it.

Why Drugs are Prohibited in Islam

The objectives of Islam include preserving the religion and the human soul, honor, mind and wealth. Any substance or act that harms any of these five matters is considered unlawful in Islam.

The enemies of Islam and humanity have fought against this religion, and have attempted to distance Muslims from their religion using different means. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
{They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months (i.e. 1st, 7th, 11th and 12th months of the Islaamic calendar). Say, `Fighting therein is a great (transgression) but a greater (transgression) with Allaah is to prevent mankind from following the way of Allaah, to disbelieve in Him, to prevent access to Al-Masjid Al-Haraam (at Makkah), and to drive out its inhabitants, and Al-Fitnah is worse than killing.' And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islaamic Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever – for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter....
[Qur`an 2: 217].

The enemies of Islam and humanity fully recognise the fact that the sole source of the Muslims' strength lies in their commitment to Islam. Thus, they use the most evil and lowly means in order to control and corrupt the Muslim nation. They realize that the quickest means to destroy the Muslim youth is by using the weapon of desires: seductive women, alcohol and drugs.

The worst, and most effective, of these has beenthe weapon of drugs, because it is directed at the heart of the Muslim nation and its protective shield, the youth who shoulder the responsibility of protecting the Muslim nation and advancing it on the path to progress. When the youth are destroyed, the entire nation heads to destruction, and it becomes easy pickings for anyone to eat from and devour its resources and wealth

Islam prohibits the use of all types of intoxicants, whether in the form of a drink, pills, drops, inhaled substances, needles, etc. The evidences for the prohibition are as follows:

· Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
{Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e. Muhammad) whom they find written with them in the Tawraat (Torah) (Deut, xviii 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John, xiv 16),
ـ he commands them for Al-Ma`roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Tayyibaat (i.e. all good and lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khabaa'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons and foods), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allaah's Covenant with the Children of Israel), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Quran) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful.}
[Quran 7: 157]
and there is no doubt that drugs come under the definition of Khabaa’ith.

· Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
{O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it be a trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allaah is Most Merciful to you.}[Quran 4: 29]. It has been proven scientifically that consuming drugs eventually leads to death.

·  Umm Salamah may Allaah be pleased with her narrated, “The Prophet  sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) prohibited anything which makes a person drunk or feeble (or causes numbness to the brain).”[Ahmad].

Muslim scholars over centuries have also condemned the use of intoxicating and hallucinogenic substances.

·              Ibn Taymiyyah,  may Allaah have mercy upon him said, "Hashish is prohibited whether it causes a person to lose control over his mind or not; it is worthier in being prohibited than alcohol because its harm is more than that of alcohol."

·              Shaykh Muhammad Aal Ash-Shaykh, may Allaah have mercy upon him said, "Ibn Hajar conveyed the statements of all four Imaams of jurisprudence who prohibited drugs."

·              Shaykh Jaad Al-Haqq, the grand Mufti of Egypt, said on 4/5/1399 A.H., "It is the consensus of all Muslim scholars that producing all types of drugs, planting them, trading in them or using them is prohibited, and that the one who does any of that should be punished."

MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE KAABA?

Question:
When Islam is against idol worship why do the Muslims worship, and bow down to the Kaaba in their prayer?
Answer:
Kaaba is the Qibla i.e. the direction Muslims face during their prayers. It is important to note that though Muslims face the Kaaba during prayers, they do not worship the Kaaba. Muslims worship and bow to none but Allah.
It is mentioned in Surah Baqarah:
"We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens: now shall We turn thee to a Qiblahthat shall please thee. Turn then thy face in the direction of the Sacred Mosque: wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction."
[Al-Qur’an 2:144]

1Islam believes in fostering unity
For instance, if Muslims want to offer Salaah (Prayer), it is possible that some may wish to face north, while some may wish to face south. In order to unite Muslims in their worship of the One True God, Muslims, wherever they may be, are asked to face in only one direction i.e. towards theKaaba. If some Muslims live towards the west of the Kaaba they face the east. Similarly if they live towards the east of the Kaaba they face the west.

2. Kaaba is at the Centre of the World Map
The Muslims were the first people to draw the map of the world. They drew the map with the south facing upwards and north downwards. The Kaaba was at the centre. Later, western cartographers drew the map upside down with the north facing upwards and south downwards. Yet, Alhamdullilahthe Kaaba is at the centre of the world map.

3. Tawaaf around Kaaba for indicating one God
When the Muslims go to Masjid-e-Haram in Makkah, they perform tawaaf or circumambulation round the Kaaba. This act symbolizes the belief and worship of One God, since, just as every circle has one centre, so also there is only one Allah (swt) worthy of worship.

4. Hadith of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Regarding the black stone, hajr-e-aswad, there is a hadith (tradition), attributed to the illustrious companion of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh), Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
According to Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, book of Hajj, chapter 56, H.No. 675. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet (pbuh) touching (and kissing) you, I would never have touched (and kissed) you".

5. People stood on Kaaba and gave the adhaan
At the time of the Prophet, people even stood on the Kaaba and gave the ‘adhaan’ or the call to prayer. One may ask those who allege that Muslims worship the Kaaba; which idol worshipper stands on the idol he worships?
